Last night was Derek and Miranda's (Mandy) shag. They had a good turn out. I think they probably did well overall but they both worked their tail off to make it happen. They had pizza from New York Sub which was delicious. There were not too many people dancing though. People didn't start dancing till the last hour or so and even then the dance floor was no where near packed. Jason, Jeff, Wendy and Melissa all came so it was a social evening.
My Saturday was pretty dull. I stayed home cause I managed to catch a cold from somewhere and I watched TV all day. I caught up on all the shows I'd taped all week. That is pretty much my life these days.
Today I sorted some negatives and prints from and old box while I watched That Thing You Do on Much More Music. I haven't seen that movie since I saw it in the theatre in the fall of 1996. It's a cute movie. I remember that at the time it came out we all thought it was a true story. Show how much we knew about music culture of the 60s.
It's funny how sometimes movies can bring back memories like music does. At the time I swore I'd never watch that movie again just because there were bad memories attached to it. I don't care anymore because those events don't hold any weight now. Time does change things.
With some movies I just refused to see them because of certain things that happened around them. Evita with Madonna, My Big Fat Greek Wedding and 6th Sense are all movies I have no interest in seeing for one crazy reason or another.
When I think of bad movies I've seen on this list I include Career Opportunities, (Hard to believe Jennifer Connelly went on to become an Oscar winner after watching that movie) Event Horizon, (Craig, Jason, Karen and I wondered what we got ourselves into when we saw that one!) and The Man Who Knew Too Little (Karen and I watched five minutes of it before turning it off) I know there is a million more but at the moment that is what is on the top of my head.
Tomorrow I'm supposed to meet up with Eyrin after my Dentist appointment. That should make my day better.
